Happy July everybody! Can you believe it’s already July? This year is flying by. Today I’m excited to announce a new feature on our blog called The Face of Type. Each month Jake and I are going to pick one of our favorite typefaces, tell you a little about it and spruce up a letter from that face. We will be doing this for the next 26 months starting with the letter A and going all the way through Z. Instead of just posting the design on our blog every month, we thought we would share it with you by allowing you to download it and use it as a background on either your computer or phone. We are so excited to take on a project of our own and share it with you. I hope you enjoy it!
The first month is American Typewriter. This was an obvious choice for the letter A. It’s one of my favorite typefaces. The round serifs makes it so nice.
Font Fun Fact: The I Love NY tourism campaign uses American Typewriter.
