I don’t bake cookies all that often, but when Christmas time rolls around it’s one of those things that Christmas just wouldn’t seem right without. Usually my family bakes the same cookies every year. I like it that way. I’m a stickler when it comes to tradition. We always bake my favorite thumbprint cookies, good ol’ chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies decorated with Christmas frosting and sprinkles, and then my dad’s favorite, buckeyes.
I’ve been eyeing a lot of beautiful cookies on Pinterest lately. Now of course none of these would replace our traditional cookies, but I don’t mind adding a few to the list. I mean who can resist those cute little snowmen?
