Mary Kate McDevitt launched her hand lettering class on Skillshare last Wednesday and I finally had some time this weekend to get started! I felt like I was back in school working on projects and getting homework done (in a good way). I’m still in the sketching stages but I wanted to share my work with you so far. The assignment was to pick a short phrase or favorite quote and hand letter it. She had us do lots of helpful exercise before starting. I made up this little phrase for the project and so far I’m loving how it’s turning out.
