One of the coolest things about Jake working on Who Knew is that he learns a lot of random, cool facts about anything and everything. Today the episode is about flag trivia. You won’t believe this but California’s flag (which currently has a bear on it) was supposed to instead have a pear on it!!! The designer misread bear as pear when we was making it. Can you believe that? It seems we were meant for each other. Who knew? I guess back then there was no such thing as a revision process.

Update: So it turns out that Snopes made up the whole thing just to see how far it would go. The California flag was never supposed to have a pear on it. So much for that.
