We took this photo at Long Beach. It was our first time visiting and we loved this boardwalk along the beach.
Photo of the Week: Viewmaster
I loved to play with these as a kid. This old viewmaster and reel was given to me by my grandparents. Jake’s dad also has a collection of viewmaster reels as well, along with this same model of viewer. He even got Jake a space themed box set for his birthday once (which he loves).
Photo of the Week: Through a Half-Frame Lens
Normally photo of the week only has one photo, but there were too many great photos to choose from on this roll. So this week we decided to post all of our favorites. This past Christmas I bought Jamie an old film camera. It’s an Olympus PEN 35mm half-frame camera from 1959 (half-frame means it exposes two images per frame …
Photo of the Week: Rainy Days
It’s been rainy here. I don’t really mind it. It’s days like these that make me want to stay home, cuddle up and watch one of those timeless movies. For now I guess I’ll just have to watch the rain from my desk.
Photo of the Week: Lido Apartments
The Lido apartment building is right down the road from where Jake works. We liked the way the neon sign looked at dusk. We really like the vintage feel of the neon signs in Los Angeles. This sign is one of our favorites.
Photo of the Week: Downtown LA
This week’s photo comes from the rooftop of our friend Jillian’s apartment building. I had never seen downtown like this before and I love the way this photo turned out!
Photo of the Week: State Theater
This week’s photo was taken in Traverse City, MI when we were back there visiting this past fall. The City’s downtown is such a quaint place with beautiful old buildings. I love it. I think I could make a habit of hanging out there every afternoon, drinking coffee, and getting lost in a good book.
Photo of the Week: Enjoy.
Here’s our first photo of the week. Every time Jake and make a trip to Home Depot to pick up supplies for our projects, we treat ourselves to Coca-Cola in a glass bottle. But this isn’t just any Coca-Cola, it’s made with pure cane sugar. Plus glass bottles are simply more fun to drink out of. Enjoy.
Say Cheeeese
Jake and I are starting to acquire a small collection of cameras and lenses. We really enjoy photography and thought it would only make sense to start posting a weekly photo. I’ve seen some blogs that do this or something similar; but the photos we post will be taken by us. I think it sounds like a fun project, but first let me …
