A couple of weeks ago I submitted two logos to the Greenway 2020 logo competition. I didn’t win but I thought I would show you what I came up with anyway.
The project is a continuous 51-mile Greenway adjacent to the LA River. They hope to have it completed by 2020. It will have parks, gathering space, and dining amenities. I think it is something much needed in LA.
This project, like any competition, was interesting to work on. There isn’t a client to brainstorm ideas, concepts or even styles with. You kind of just go in blindly and do what you think fits the project. Even though I didn’t win it was still fun to work on. Plus one of the judges was Shepard Fairey so it’s pretty cool to think that he saw my work.
You can learn more about the project and see the winning logo here.
