This week’s photo was taken in Traverse City, MI when we were back there visiting this past fall. The City’s downtown is such a quaint place with beautiful old buildings. I love it. I think I could make a habit of hanging out there every afternoon, drinking coffee, and getting lost in a good book.
[I want] to make it better…
This is an incredibly well done motion graphics piece. I really hope that I can animate something this well someday. Make it better from Sebastianbap on Vimeo.
Photo of the Week: Enjoy.
Here’s our first photo of the week. Every time Jake and make a trip to Home Depot to pick up supplies for our projects, we treat ourselves to Coca-Cola in a glass bottle. But this isn’t just any Coca-Cola, it’s made with pure cane sugar. Plus glass bottles are simply more fun to drink out of. Enjoy.
Say Cheeeese
Jake and I are starting to acquire a small collection of cameras and lenses. We really enjoy photography and thought it would only make sense to start posting a weekly photo. I’ve seen some blogs that do this or something similar; but the photos we post will be taken by us. I think it sounds like a fun project, but first let me …
We Heart Ikea
We ending up going to Ikea this weekend to buy a few things to upgrade our kitchen a bit. And thanks to my handyman husband, everything is already hanging up. Here are the results. The bars, hooks, plants and pots are the new editions to our kitchen. We like it. *side note: Those cute J and B mugs handing up …
Back Home
Well Jake and I are back home from our lovely Christmas vacation. We went to Colorado to visit my family. While we were there, we ate lots of good food, played with my baby niece (although she is not much of a baby anymore) and got hooked on the tv show, House. It was a much needed break that we took full advantage of. …
The Bartlett Press: Part 2
Well it’s official: Jamie and I have started the process of owning our very own Tabletop Letterpress. And what’s even better is that it’s being completely restored for us by Andrew Churchman (a well known expert in the letterpress community). It is also coming with all of the tools and materials we’ll need to start printing. Here are some pictures of our …
Day After Thanksgiving
The day after Thanksgiving, or as we like to call it, the first day of Christmas, was an amazing day for Jamie and I. We avoided the long Black-Friday lines and shopped the deals online from the comfort of our bed. After another Cinnabon, we got up and began to decorate our first Christmas tree. There’s not much I can …
Our First Thanksgiving
This year Jamie and I celebrated our very first Thanksgiving together. It was a lot of fun being able to make the food for ourselves, without worrying about what anyone else would think of it. After sleeping in a little on Thursday we got up and made our Holiday blend coffee from the Coffee Bean, and stuck our Cinnabon rolls …
Scandinavian Art
Recently, without even knowing it, I have become inspired by Scandinavian art. I knew I loved this certain style of art I had been seeing and with a little digging, I discovered that it was Scandinavian. Now I just can’t get enough of it. The designs typically contain dynamic geometric designs, foliage ornaments and often features animals (my favorite part) I searched around and founds some beautiful pieces. …
