When Jake and I decided we would start our married life together in Los Angeles, we always had it in the back of our minds that when we wanted to have kids or buy a house, we would move out of California (or at least Los Angeles). It wasn’t until about a month ago that I really started loving California. I heard that it takes a person about 6 months to adjust to a new city. It took me a little over a year and a half. Don’t get me wrong, it has beautiful weather and is a wonderful place to live. It just didn’t have that homey feel that I grew up with. I kind of felt like an outsider. Now when I come back from a trip, the city feels familiar. It feels like home. I might just want to stay here forever. LA, I never thought I’d say this, but I love you.
